SCREENLINEUP

NHL game blacked out on ESPN?

An ESPN subscription does not guarantee every hockey game in every location. Local rights can exclude a game from an out-of-market stream.

Check these before paying again

  1. Find the matchup: check its announced channel or streaming service in our NHL TV schedule or a team guide.
  2. Check local coverage: compare the broadcaster’s event listing with the channel lineup or team package you already have. “Home market” and “away market” refer to broadcast territories, not where you are watching.
  3. Check location access: ESPN uses your viewing location to apply restrictions. If the restriction seems wrong, contact ESPN support through its app.
Does NHL Network access solve an ESPN blackout?

Only if NHL Network is carrying that specific game in your area and your package includes it. Confirm the event and channel before adding a subscription.
